Badian Island, Cebu, Philippines

                          Badian Island, Province of Cebu

Badian is a third class municipality in the province of Cebu, Philippines. The Municipality of Badian is located 98 kilometres (61 mi) southwest of Cebu City. It is bounded on the north by the municipality of Moalboal; on the south by the municipality of Alegria; on the east by the municipalities of Dalaguete and Argao; and on the west by Tanon Strait. Just off the western shore of Cebu in lagoon-like Badian Bay is a peaceful hideaway where guests are treated to warn Philippine hospitality. Begin your day on Badian Island with a massage at the resort. Then explore the crystal clear underwater world around the island. See the native fishing village right across the island resort, or splash in the cool and sparkling Kawasan Falls near the island. In July, do not miss the Badian Festival an annual fiesta showcasting Cebuano and Badianganon culture.

The Kawasan Falls
Kawasan Falls is located inside the mountains of Barangay Matutinao, Badian. From the entrance you will have to trek uphill for about thirty minutes, depending on your pace, to get to the first waterfall. Kawasan has three waterfalls. The first one is mainly the largest of the three, and is usually the most crowded. An uphill climb for fifteen minutes will take you to the second falls, and another, to the third.
